After last night's show in Boston I don't think I'm going to go to any Reel Big Fish shows until I know they're going to play some new songs. I'm so tired of the same set list. It was nice to hear 241… but it's not enough.

When Aaron started playing Cannibal my heart raced, hoping that they might actually play it. It sounded so beautiful live and the build up seemed to be catching the crowd's interest… but then it was Beer and the show returned to its cliché. They're still talented musicians and all, but the shows lack the magic that originally attracted me.

Bottom line neither myself nor the band are drunk enough to have as much fun as we used to have.

A drunken, drug induced rage where Aaron storms offstage after breaking instruments… Sorry that joke really wasn't that clear.

When will the video of Yo Gabba Gabba surface?

The new song is fabulous! If their new album is anything like it I would be very happy. Ehh mixing though.

I'm really glad Aaron changed "fag" to "man" personally.

I get it. The song was written in the perspective of a meathead in the pit. They're not actually a band that preaches hate (or moshing for that matter.) But for people who were being introduced to the band and their sense of humor for the first time may not see it that way.

Fag being a word full of so much hate I really am glad to see that go.

Reel Big Fish have never had a perfect album. I hate people thinking that We're Not Happy is their worst album or that it's a digression from bouncy-fun-happy-ska days. It's another artifact attesting to RBF's musical ability and Aaron's vision for the band. We're Not Happy has some tracks on it that we all could have done without, but I can't think of a Reel Big Fish album that doesn't. It strikes me as an album full of aggression and feeling. Something I wish the other albums had. MFNATCFF is emotionally stale, in my opinion. Still a good album. But it would have been able to stand up against Why Do They Rock So Hard (I argue this is their best album) had their been more "feeling" substantial tracks.

I mean, what do I know? But I really don't feel as though We're Not Happy gets enough credit as an album full of substance and effort. It certainly has more good things to be said about it than Monkies – once again, my opinion.

I like both Peter Bones and Everything Is Cool because they're most musically risk takers considering what most fans come to expect from RBF. I like when they violate our expectations. I like it when they alienate fans because they're trying something a little different.

I love it. The build-up is masterful. It sounds unlike anything RBF has ever recorded, and makes me miss when RBF would try new things more often.
