Sonic LibidoMemberPunknews also gave Wasting Light by Foo Fighters one star. Their reviews are often far from objective.

Sonic LibidoMemberI don’t like 13 year old scenester kids enough to go to warped tour.
Sadly, i’ve been disappointed everytime i’ve seen Streetlight live. They’re tight, but they have no frontman. They take the stage, play the songs and leave without so much as a “hi portland, how are you?” in between to make it personal.
Also, asshole fans.

Sonic LibidoMemberI’d imagine that any one of those 15 active members should be involved, you included. It’s not meant to be elitist, it’s just to keep lurkers from stealing leaks and rarities that they won’t (necessarily) buy like the actives will.

Sonic LibidoMemberRock it With I: Ok, so I just caught something with Last Words. The verse beat/chord progression, feels the same as Slow Down.
I thought he did stuff like that on purpose. The first lyrics are \”Nothing on the radio\” and it\’s sung just like how it is in Everything Sucks. I see the song as an homage to Reel Big Fish itself…I kind of wish it was the last song on the album.
^this. similar to what the bosstones did with Open And Honest on The Magic Of Youth

Sonic LibidoMemberFirst choice. but if there’s a forum for senior members, I would enjoy being included. My post count isn’t high because my original account was lost in the switch to wordpress.

Sonic LibidoMemberA great way to get on the barrier is to get to the show early and grab your spot when the doors open. This is the most effective and courteous way to do it. still, expect a bunch of assholes to try and push their way through your body once RBF starts, because for some reason, they’re more entitled to be there than the people that waited in line for two hours pre-show and stood in place through all of the other bands.
That being said, if you like dancing more than watching, you’re better off just finding any old place in the crowd. Let us know how it goes!

Sonic LibidoMemberthe intro to the second one, which I assume will be the intro to the final video (if we ever see it), Mirrors the “Stayed Away Too Long” video pretty heavily. Perhaps intentionally.

Sonic LibidoMembernot really. It’s pretty much the same.
Like The Wind, I too noticed the structure issues, but, truth be told, it didn’t bother me nearly as much as the use of fade outs. Songs with endings are wicked swell… if you write a song, write and record an ending. Fade outs are acceptable if you play disco… in which case, seppuku is also acceptable.
That being said, I was rather surprised by how surprised I was by this album. Lots of little creative steps that I didn’t expect from RBF. It’s fun. Everyone probably knows that i’m not the type of music fan that frets when a band isn’t the same as they were 10 years ago. I’m also not the guy who keeps calling for the producer bit when it’s obvious that Aaron refuses to do business that way. While I hear the same things The Wind hears, I’m happier to celebrate what this album is than I am to frown about what it isn’t.
In my opinion, It’s the freshest sounding album they’ve made in ten years. To me, it’s the first time I’ve felt like an RBF album exists for a reason that isn’t “LOOK WHAT JIVE DIDN’T LET US DO! MAN, IT REALLY SUCKED WHAT JIVE DID TO US! YOU REMEMBER THAT? THOSE GUYS ARE MEAN! HEY REMEMBER WHEN JIVE DROPPED US?!”. Which was at least a little more interesting than “We’re Not Happy’s” “MAN WE REALLY HATE BEING ON JIVE” shtick.
It’s got all of the things I love about RBF and a few new things I dig. It’s a cool new album for the summer. That’s all it has to be. It’s not the RBF with a producer album that could be, but, at this point, anyone expecting that should get acquainted with the disappointment. It’s gonna be a while. sure. “hiding in my headphones” has two too many guests on it (just aaron and coolie would have made this track stronger, for me). There are things I don’t love about the production, but Nothing really worth bitching about. This album is much more a step in the right direction than it is in the wrong. I won’t call it their “best”, I won’t call it their “worst” (mostly because these are ridiculous words to try and use when talking about art).
I like this album. Nice to see most of you feel the same. I’m glad to see it.

Sonic LibidoMemberI think BB is playing in place of The Maxies (no fucking argument here). they played acoustic. Their frontwoman is pretty fine and really good at her job. It was entertaining, but I kind of hate double-headline tours. five bands is exhausting.. three is perfect. IMO.
good thing seemed normal, kind of hard to recall whether or not it had a trumpet solo. -

Sonic LibidoMembersaw them in Boston tonight. they played all of the hits (sans Don’t Start A Band), enter sandman, setup, good thing, your guts, F.U., kids don’t like it, in the pit, everything sucks, S.R., 241, Trendy, etc.
They also played Punisher. It was glorious.
Beautiful Bodies, Suburban Legends, Big D And The Kids Table, Goldfinger and Reel Big Fish all put on great performances. With personal standouts being Beautiful Bodies and Big D.
