If anyone has the Littlest Man Band stuff still knocking around, i’d eternally grateful for a share! My laptop fried itself and i lost EVERYTHING 🙁 I have a legit CD of Better Book Ends thankfully, but I’ve done some seriously significant googling and can’t find the Live on KUCI release or any of the demos/practices or Doo Dee stuff. Also, if it’s not too much to ask, if the collection of Scott solo stuff can be re-uploaded, that would also be magnificent 🙂

I love it, i can see why some people are bitching about the production and song structure and whatnot, but the way I see it is it’s new material for the first time in 5 odd years! 

Sure it’s not as good as TTRO or WDTRSH (hush if you hate on the second one there!) or even Cheer Up! (now I know most of you chaps hate CU! but that’s the album that got me into RBF, and the album that was pretty much the soundtrack to my summer when I was 16 and just hanging and partying with all my mates all the time so suck it :P)

BUT what it IS is a good representation of what RBF traditionally are and what the direction is now that Aaron is doing all the work himself and quite frankly I honestly think he’s done a pretty decent job considering he isn’t a ‘proper’ producer. Sure he should clearly get in outside help, but maybe he/they can’t afford it? I think he’s doing a fine job himself and if they continue to put out as fun and catchy songs as this, I’m more than happy with that, ’cause that what I like in my music. Haters gonna hate. 

Also, turns out I really dig HIMH even though it seems like an army of guest vocals raided the studio, I think the reason is is because I can relate in a weird sort of way, there’s little more I enjoy than be an unsociable fucker and winding my music up to max on my phone/MP3 player and having a little rock show pound my brain!

I also massively, hugely, greatly enjoy the verse-to-chorus build up thing-a-me-jigga in Lost Cause, that shit had me pumping the steering wheel in my car yesterday like a complete mad man!

Your Girlfriend sucks is another one I can relate to big time, my best mate got with this girl a few years ago and she is one poisonous bitch, can’t be arsed to explain (and you don’t give one damn about the stories) but yeah, that song hit me like a train and had me singing along like a nutter by the second chorus. Windows down, in my city, looking like I’d fled my carer 😀

She’s Not The End Of The World, can’t relate one little bit to this, me and my missus are tight, have been since we got together 8 and a half years ago, so this song means nothing to me, however, it is one catchy bastard and I LOVE the speed and energy in it.

P.S I Hate You, again, nothing to relate to but again catchy as all hell and as I said before, that’s one of the most important things to me when it comes to music. 

Conclusion; I’ve rambled on, no doubt missed out words so this will be gibberish, only written about a few songs, and generally just pounded at my keyboard like a tool. But what I mostly want to say is, I fucking love this album, sure not the best RBF, but hell, it’s NEW RBF stuff! It’s what I’ve been wanting for a long time, and it has delivered like a boss. And the leak couldn’t have come at a better time for me, I wanted it before I road trip to Germany in a few weeks so get in!

TL:DR = Good album, not their best. Aaron not the best producer but meh, who cares and maybe it’s a cost factor? I gibbered about some songs on the album that I like and gave poor reasons for why I like them. All ‘tidied’ up with possibly the worst ‘conclusion’ of all time.

Worst music news thats happened to a band that ive been a big fan off (while actually being a fan) since blink-182s hiatus
