MAX!MemberThis album would've been so much better if it wasn't for the "modern rock" version of Where Have You Been and the general lack of horns on the first few songs.
Although, I find it pretty funny to watch the Where Have You Been music video and focus on the horns players whenever they're on screen (Tyler Jones and Dan Regan I believe)

MAX!MemberHe's also adding three songs to the american release. So it's not just jumbling really.

MemberIt helps the flow of the album. Flow is the most important part of constructing a good album (outside of having, y'know, good songs) and adds a lot when you're taken into the whole thing.
For instance, starting the album off with Drunk Again and going into Rock N Roll Is Bitchin would probably throw off the average listener.

MemberAlrighty, I just found this band while searching throughout the masses of stuff on youtube.com and happened apon the song Average Man, loved the song and various others on the Cheer UP! CD so I went and bought it tho much to my dismay when I saw that the song wasn't on the album, nor the other 3 or so in stock, so I ask…Why is it now there and where could I go to buy/DL this song?\
And since it's not here i'll have to go with Sayonara Senorita as my favorite song.

This is a good track listing, I don't have Kiss Me Deadly on there, I think it sounds too up beat for the album.I also put NY NY in between Brand New Hero, and Drunk Again. In addition, I cut out the first part of Drunk again, this way NY NY ends and goes right into Drunk Again, it's perfect.
This really does make the album a lot better, I listened to it all the way through like this last night with my $80 in hear headphones, and it's just amazing.
I was all gung ho over the production of TTRO and WDTRSH in that other offensive thread I started, but after listening to Cheer Up! all the way through again, and in this order, I would have to say I like this album the most. When you listen with good headphones, there is so much more that you hear on this album, it's slowly become my favorite, even though I almost hated it when it came out.

[/quote1233271233]Haha I love how that guy mistook the name Cheer Up! for Be Cool! Too bad he edited his post.
When I'm a super famous musician, I'm going to have my first album called Be Cool!

[/quote1233345183]I remember back when the album came out, on the official board, there were only a handful of defenders. Most people hated this album. Now that enough time has passed, it seems people are starting to come around to the album and starting to appreciate it for what it is. A great album. It's not a great ska album, but it's a great album.
I used this album to get a lot of people into RBF.
And 'Be Cool' is an awesome album title.

[/quote1233422890]Yeah, it always seems like you only grow to like an album, after a band releases it's follow up. I've done that with a lot of bands. I actually do like WNHTYNH a lot now, but I really just can't get past the recording. It's a very creative album musically.
It's not just RBF that I'm like that with, Im just an audio snob. It sucks because I can't listen to some Jimi Hendrix, or Beatles due to the recording quality of the songs.
