Nah. Although it's painful, it's bearable. My biggest concern is I don't remember the car ride home, and I was awake and talking the whole time, apparently.

I'm disappointed, though. He I was thinking I'd get a sweet trip offa the T3s, but I got nothing. They don't really do much for the pain, either. I don't know what the deal is there.

Common adverse drug reactions associated with the use of codeine include euphoria, itching, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, miosis, orthostatic hypotension, urinary retention and constipation.[9]

You see, I'm not getting ANY of that! Where's my euphoria?!?!

    • #7892

yeah, when i took them, they just made me tired. i only took one, and that was just to get out of work. hahahaha!

I don't even get tired. They give me insomnia. Why else am I here at 6:30 in the morning after falling asleep at 1:30?

I had my lower 2 wisdom teeth pulled out several years ago. I remember it as a very unpleasant experience. Did they have to be cut in some pieces and then each piece pulled out, or were they done altogheter? I had mine cut first.

Yeah, I came home with six pieces of teeth.
I was unconscious for the operation. The most unpleasant part of being in the chair was the weird stuff they gave me intravenously pre-op to help with the swelling. She told me that is would burn in places that I had hair for about 20 seconds. Few seconds later my balls and my ass felt like they're on fire.

That's what happens to me with codeine. It makes me feel like I just snorted a line. I don't understand how people get all tired.

What unusual chemical reactions… I'm sitting here, wired as hell at two in the morning. I took the damn things four hours ago.

Do you have any Nyquil on hand? That stuff is just as good as a few shots of tequila.

Just make sure you don't get dry socket!

I don't know what that is. Sounds dirty.

      Courtesy of Mayoclinic.com…

Dry Socket: Normally, a blood clot forms at the site of a tooth extraction. This blood clot serves as a protective layer over the underlying bone and nerve endings in the empty tooth socket. The clot provides the foundation for the growth of new tissue and bone.

In some cases, though, the clot doesn't form properly or is physically dislodged before complete healing. With the clot gone, bone and nerves in the socket are exposed to air, fluids and food. This can cause intense pain, not only in the socket but also along the nerves radiating to the ear and eye on the same side of your face.

But the precise cause of dry socket remains the subject of study. Some researchers believe that several issues may be at play, including:

      Bacterial contamination of the socket
Difficult or traumatic tooth extraction surgery
Roots or bone fragments remaining in the wound after surgery
Dry socket occurs in about 3 percent to 5 percent of all tooth extractions, but it's much more common after extraction of wisdom teeth and impacted wisdom teeth in particular.

That sounds painful. But I have stitches in my mouth, so I don't think this applies.
