Speaking of Smash Bros. – I had the best night the other day:
We were at a friend of a friend's house playing the Naruto game on GC and I kept getting my ass raped by the guy who lives their and one of his buddies whenever I played either of them, then I found SSBM – a game I hadn't played in a looong time nor was I ever good at. Needless to say, the two chuckleheads who were kicking everyone's asses at Naruto were fairly confident they would pwn teh n00bs in melee too, when out of nowhere I somehow magically summoned God-like skills and repeatedly beat them both into holy submission with the power of Link's master sword! 😀 It was a good evening after that.

okay. so far….i've unlocked a lot of people but still not sonic yet *cries*.

my favorite is still link and ness. i also find myself using meta knight and kirby a lot too.

You can unlock Sonic by beating classic a few times or by playing matches with 10 different characters. I think. I unlocked him via SSE.

Yeah, I don't think I can ever go back to Melee after playing this. They made Ness and Kirby awesome again, plus that stage creator is the shit.

i'm at about 68% in the SSE and have unlocked most of the people other than sonic, windwaker link, and…..i forget who else. i have the majority by now, i think.

i gotta say…i still hate the smash bros camera. it's so annoying how it'll subtly zoom in on your character to where you can't see what else is going on or it's so far out and there's so many characters that you lose track of your guy. i've lost a few guys just because i couldn't find where i was or gain a solid control because the camera was so zoomed in or out and i hate those moving levels in SSE where the screen is slowly moving and you gotta move with it. there were a couple spots that really sucked with that and needed to go offscreen just to make it work.

but other than the camera stuff, i overall love the game. the camera stuff kills me, though…literally.

Yeah, when you use stage creator, it gets a bit hard to judge. You usually still have to try them out in a real match.

also: i HATE ike and marth. completely useless to me.

I like Ike. He's got huge range and power.

Ike is extremely easy to beat, except when the player is really good.

I have a really good Ike player on my friend list, he proves how good he can get.

Too bad most Ike players suck/spam the same moves.

ike is too slow and doesn't have enough variety for me. i like a utility guy like link where i can pull a bomb out my ass if i need to or ness where i've got that really useful and diverse yo-yo shot and the pk lightning shot (useful for both hitting the final blow and saving your own ass by rocket boosting back to land).

My fav is Sonic; he's all over the place! His only drawback is his lack of KO moves.

Sonic is brutal 1 on 1. Especially if you have the misfortune of picking a heavyweight.

I'm just glad Kirby doesn't suck anymore like in Melee.
