So I went to the Less Than Jake/Goldfinger shows on Saturday and Sunday. Opening up were Big D and the Kids Table (great as always! !lol) and Suburban Legends. Now, I have seen SL countless times over many years. I think I first saw them at a free show in Downtown Disney at an Angel Rally during the World Series in 2002. I love their old stuff and still like their last couple of albums even though they are a little different. My question is: When did they become the freaking Village People?

Most of them were dressed in some sort of costume (cowboy, some sort of spaceage outfit, Brian Klemm even wore a long black wig and ASSLESS CHAPS!!!) Vince wore a T-shirt that said "Spice Guy". They wore the same outfits both nights. I still enjoyed myself, but I was confused as to why they would make themselves into some sort of cartoonish act. Do you think it's because they think it's fun or funny or do they think they are so good they can get away with it? I just don't know.

Has anyone seen them lately? Or does anyone have any answers for me? Because I am befuddled! !lol

I've never even seen them live once. They've never come here.

So I don't even know what they USED to be like.

I haven't seen them either, but that sounds somewhat disapointing.

How were Less than Jake and Goldfinger?

Nah, they're wearing all that because it's the theme for their new album. They all dress as different genre's of music. I wouldn't look to far into it, it's suppost to be a joke.

I saw them a few times at Downtown Disney when they'd perform for free over by ESPN Zone, but haven't seen them since. Well, I have but they weren't performing. They were at The Ally RBF show. Brian kept trying to get me to "raise the roof" when RBF were playing Unity, but I just wasn't feelin' it.

Vince has turned the band into a bunch of homos.

If Tim were dead, he'd be spinning in his grave.

That's a plausible explanation. But I wasn't that impressed. I obviously didn't get the joke! !lol
