Memberso i went to a festival called soundwave yesterday. and this is how it went
got in
went and saw rolo tomassi. they were ok
gallows than started, their sound was shit and i kinda wish i saw rx bandits instead
than i went and watched isis for 2 songs, i was bored
because i was bored i went and watched set your goals finish their set which was fun, i got there in time for summer jam which is a song that is way too catchy
i than went and watched the weakerthans. they were brilliant
i than went to the main stage to catch paramore but they started late and all i got was 1 song before i had to leave to see rbf
rbf were tight but it was a typical festival setlist so i was kinda bored plus the crowd sucked (hardcore kids like ska because it's fun, but they only know like 1 band and think running around in a circle is skanking)
i than went and watched the creepshow. i was pretty psyched on them since i havent seen a psychobilly band for quite a while. they were pretty good apart from the back up vocalist microphone not working properly
i than saw the first song of shinedown and left because they make me want to cut myself
i than watched anthrax for a little. they fucking did a cover of new noise by refused and it was good!
than the highlight of my day came on, the aquabats. they were amazing and i had alot of fun. mc bat commander was doing back flips and getting the security guards in with the dancing
i than watched whitechapel. pretty decent death metal. i was happy
i than went and watched four year strong. they were as fun as usual. their blend of pop punk and hardcore is fun for me. i think its kindof funny though that the hardcore kids would be watching quietly than they go into a breakdown and they all fucking go crazy than when it stops they just move off to the side again
i than went and watched a day to remember which i guess are a more extreme version of four year strong with mixing metalcore with pop punk. they were fun too but i kindof wished i finished my night with enter shikari, oh well
i than went home sunburnt and probally dehydrated since it was like a 40 degree day (that's celcius)
we had a bus organised by a friend. it took us over an hour to leave the carpark

MemberWell then, I gotta say – most of that line up would've made me more depressed than if they just got a guy to go up on stage and kill a newborn kitten every 5 minutes.
