Should I get another pig? Porkchop is getting lonely and keeps trying to hump the radio flyer. :D

As long as you have the room and the desire, I say why not. I love pets! The only reason my cat doesn't have a brother or sister is that he's such a mama's boy. He wouldn't want to share me with another animal.

might as well just move out to nebraska and start a farm. :p

I couldn't handle the winters out there, haha. Anything below 50 degrees during the daytime….I'll die! I'm forced to stay here in Cali due to the climate. 😀

Well, if I did that, then I wouldn't have anything to drink. 😛

Apparently it flavours the meet they produce – Gordon Ramsey tried it with his own pigs on some TV programme I happened to catch a while ago.

    • #15916

Well, maybe I'll try it. I don't plan on cooking him, but he is on my shit list right now. He bit me on the leg last week, and tried tripping me right after.

How much is a pissload, exactly?

    • #15922

Yeah! What if he gets alcohol poisoning, or what if he's a violent drunk? Can I take him to AA meetings?

      bacon!!

    • #15939

Hehe, well I don't know how much meat we'd get from him anyway. He's just a potbellied pig.

Trev's right though. I'm not gonna get anymore animals. I'm starting to not get along with the ones I have now.

If they weren'r illegal around here, I would.

I got plenty of room and food for the animals. We've got at least 5 acres of land. I just haven't been getting along with the pig.

Oh yeah, I've already suggested this before. That really sucks that they're illegal there. If I ever drive down to california, maybe I'll smuggle you one.

    • #15988

I don't understand why they are illegal here, but whatever…I'm gonna sip on my coffee now. 🙂

Wow, I thought you lived in the city part of Cali. The only place I see 5 open acres is the forest preserve around here.

How big is an acre exactly?

I think it's like 640 square feet or something.

And there's lots of open land in California. We have basically every climate, and a lot of it is uninhabitable. In fact, most of Ventura County (where I live) is forest. Not to mention all the agriculture out here. There are tons of ranches and orchards that are just crops or nothing at all.

I did live in the city part of Riverside, but I moved 4 months ago to a different part of the city….more rural but still the same city. 🙂 I'm in the middle of orange and grapefruit groves.

Wiki says 43,560 square feet in 1 acre, and 640 acres in a square mile.

I don't know about the square footage. But I went to college in Santa Barbara, and there is a lot of open land up there. Where Amy lives in the I.E., there is lots of land too. Other parts of the country don't understand that there are plenty of open spaces in SoCal.
