I like it. It's very Motown inspired and different from even the Red Album. And it's better than everything on Make Believe and the Green Album.

This album will definitely be interesting, and after how good and underrated the Red Album is, I'm excited.

Still like this song a lot, and it sounds better at album quality.

I seem to be in the minority, but I actually liked this clip. now, I heard the song live on YouTube before and it sounded like dogshit, but on the album it seems to work better.

3. "The Girl Got Hot"

Power pop like Cheap Trick. Haters can fuck off.

4. "Can't Stop Partying" (featuring Lil Wayne)

… The fuck is this? I'll be sticking the track from Alone II on here. This song did not need to be remade.

First one was a bit average, but again I need to hear the rest. The second one was a huge WTF. I would have prefered a studio version of their cover of 'Are Friends Electric?'

My opinion so far seems to be that the Red Album is far superior and extraordinarily underrated in general. This has radio hit all over it and it seems too safe. Not as safe as Make Believe was, but it seems like these could probably all be played on Radio Disney. Nothing here's on the level of TGMTEL, Pork & Beans, Dreamin', The Spider, Miss Sweeney, or Pig.

Again, these are just clips, so my opinion could change. nothing screams 'AWFUL' or boring like a few of the tracks from Green or Maladroit, and so far it doesn't seem like it's missing something like Make Believe. But I do think Automatic sounds better than In The Mall…

Okay, these clips are much better and they SOUND much better.

Can't Stop Partying, In The Mall, and Love Is The Answer still seem weak. But the deluxe edition songs sound AWESOME. Especially Run Over By A Truck.

I really dig it. A lot. It's a new flavor of Weezer.

The song Cant Stop Partyin has Lil Wayne in it, and at first you'd think it would suck balls, but if ya listen to it, it's actually pretty good!

I really like the tone of I'm Your Daddy. The vocals just provoke me to sing along

-It's just a great pop song, really. Not sure if it'll be a hit, considering how the Greatest Man wasn't… Which it fucking should have been.

2. I'm Your Daddy
-Sorry, I don't get the complaints at all. It's goofy Weezer fun. I just don't get what some people hate about this one.

3. The Girl Got Hot
-Same as above. Some awesome power pop. I'm starting to think hardcore Weezer fans think Weezer has only ever written Pinkerton or something.

4. Can't Stop Partying
-Okay, not too bad. The clip was not a good prep for this. The Alone version is still better, but this is fine. Actually reminds of early 90s alternative for some reason. Not 90s Weezer, but early 90s in general.

5. Put Me Back Together
-Cheesy, and it reminds me of AAR's first album. Fun listen, though. This album is actually quite good as a cohesive piece so far. lol @ the ice cream mention. FEEDBACK GLORIOUS FEEDBACK!

6. Trippin' Down The Highway
-Love it. Classic Weezer, and probably the best song so far.

7. Love Is The Answer
-You know, I wasn't sure about this in the clips, but cohesively as an album, the song really works here. It's not my favorite at all, but pretty good overall, and much better than what I was expecting.

8. Let It All Hang Out
-Ooh, the guitars. So goooood. Another classic Weezer style song.

9. In The Mall
-Okay. But it doesn't really stand out.

10. I Don't Want To Let You Go
-Still one of the best songs Rivers has written. Great version of this song. Slightly different, but still great. Weezer always goes out swinging with closers (except December… Album version was weak.) I just wish it was like 3 minutes longer. I hate when this song ends.

Turn Me Around
-Kind of dull. I can see why it never made an album.

Get Me Some
-Wow. It's like the harder Maladroit stuff like American Gigolo with better songwriting. Fits better as a deluxe song over an album one, though.

Run Over By A Truck
-This reminds me of the off-kilter Weezer from the deluxe Red songs. Best song from this whole experience. Probably wouldn't have fit on the album, but it's the best song from the whole thing. I want to see Weezer GO in this direction though. Not just toss them off as extra songs.

The Prettiest Girl
-Pretty hard to fuck this up, and they didn't. I like that the beat isn't just constant like the Alone version. I do think this could have made Raditude. But whatever, still awesome.

The Underdogs
-Reminds me of Streets Of Philadelphia and Yuko & Hiro. Great album ender. IDWTLYG is better though, so it's good that it didn't make the album. But throwing in the bonus tracks, this is great. Different than the usual, but that's good.

So overall, not the disappointment I was expecting. If I had to rate the Weezer albums, this would be 4th behind Blue, Pinkerton, and Red. It's much better as a whole than in pieces, though.

[/quote1256645067]In The Mall made the album yet, Prettiest Girl didn't. That was almost as lame as Cold Dark World making Red over Miss Sweeney, The Spider, or Pig. Get Me Some is hilarious if you consider it a pisstake, I find.

I do think The Girl Got Hot will be played in teen comedies for the next few years, though. I'm Your Daddy could have fit on Make Believe next to This Is Such A Pity, and might be a pretty good single.

Put Me Back together reminds me of AAR if they didn't do all the stupid things they do. (Strings, annoying vocals, and boring lyrics)

But overall, the best songs (Run Over By A Truck and IDWTLYG) were hold overs from the Red album. I really want to hear more of the stuff from those sessions. That album was great. Raditude is consistent and a good listen, but not to the same level, IMO.

It beats Maladroit, Green, and Make Believe, though. Since it doesn't have shit production that ruined songs, an album where the b-sides are superior to half the album, and an entire album of scrapped songs that were obviously superior to the final product.

It flows real nice and is a reminder to all the fools who think Weezer should have called it quits that they are still fucking awesome. The Spider makes a good 'hidden track' too.

Maladroit was really fucked with. Stupid decisions ruined an otherwise pretty fun album. There were about 4 songs recorded in DC that were awesome and made worse with every new version they did. Some songs were just ruined in the studio (Burndt Jamb is lousy compared to the originals), and certain songs shouldn't have made it over others (WTF at American Gigolo over Saturday Night and Space Rock over Listen Up), and the single version of Keep Fishin' shits all over the album version. If Maladroit sounded as good as that, no one would bitch about it.

But yeah, I do make mixes of other Weezer stuff, but I don't bother with Blue or Pinkerton simply because there's not much to add to those albums. I do make some mixes with B-sides every now and then, but it's hard to get the flow right on them.

Hmm, I am curious to sit down and make a perfect 20 song "Greatest Weezer Songs" compilation that would span over all albums.

Ok, I got one put together. I'm pretty sure I used at least 2 songs per album, plus some b-sides.

It flows pretty good musically and also has a slight 'early 20's love story' theme as far as the words and meaning of the songs go (although it's not perfect by any means…) I'm sure after I listen to it through a few times, I may move some around, and/or add/delete some
