So the show at new haven last night was awesome to say the least and I can't remember the setlist completely… and there was an on-stage surprise. Tyler Jones showed up and played trumpet on a couple songs. Now, I wasnt a Fish fan when he was a member, my only knowledge of him is from the The Show Must Go Off! DVD where he seemed like a drunken jackass. Aren't we all? but i mean i didn't really like him from what I saw and heard come out of his mouth. But for him to show up and play was pretty cool. He played Suckers, She Has A Girlfriend Now and I think one other song. Then there was another trombone player that came out… something Rose…I can't remember though. It was all really cool. So, just thought I'd tell my story

I'm surprised that Tyler played with RBF, but then again we don't know if him getting fired was done gently. If he did play with SM it wouldn't be as shocking. SM go through horn players like…. fill in something witty I'm too tired to think.
Don't take this the wrong way but I've had people tell me that they thought 'that black guy who played trumpet in RBF' is in Streetlight. Maybe they got them mixed up?
I'm betting that it wasn't Tyler that played with SM, and your friends are stupid… 😉 Just saying… And that the trombone player that came out for She Has A Girlfriend Now was also Tyler Jones to your friends.
He's probably a very nice guy, but he should be with his wife and daughter. Family first, and I guess that's why I didn't have a problem with him leaving. Derrick seems just as nice… and just as quiet, so it's a good match.
