At the moment I am helping my friend build his brand new recording studio. He's dumping a lot of money into this thing and since I'm working for free, he said I could bring a band in and produce 1-3 songs for free.
So I just need a band to produce…
I believe that a producer is used on an album to provide outside opinions and to tighten up and make the songs better with fresh ideas that fit with the bands style.
I'm looking for a band that already has some recording experience and is willing to let me pick apart their songs and fine tune them. I want to help a band develop their sound for the songs they record and I want them to leave with music that they never thought they could have recorded.
I'm open to any and all types of music as long as it's good and creative. The recording studio is in Santa Cruz California, so you'd have to find a way there. But you wouldn't have to pay for any studio time AND you would get an amazing sounding song or two that you can put online… Win win for everyone.
