Does anyone actually know HOW Bitter Sweet Symphony sounds like The Last Time?

Bitter Sweet Symphony is the song that samples the Rolling Stones, right?

I'm pretty sure, because I remember after it became a hit Keith Richards tried to fuck the band out of any royalties (even though they obtained the sample legally)…

Upon further inspection, of listening to it part by part and matching it up to the other song, I can kind of hear the melody.
Regardless, the main hook from the Verve song is nowhere to be found in the Stones' version.
