      If we have the WHOLE month of February as Black History Month, then when is White History Month? Do you guys get one day? or just the rest of the year? :P

      (my family was never a "let's make a HUGE deal out of the month of Feb because it was labeled Black History month", I mean, I respect and honor my fallen fathers and all that jazz, as any human being should do, but can we please stop segregating things and just live as people?)

      Anyways, I might as well represent, Happy Black History Month to any and all negros y'all may know

      no black history month is happy. (american) black history is full of struggle, fallen heroes, and false prophets (jesse jackson? al sharpton? anyone?.

      it's also the shortest fucking month of the year.

      That is my question too. I could sit here and feed you stories that I have learned throughout my life on why, but they wouldn't support the fact that it's really supposidly necessary to label one month "ours".

      i'll put this here because i'm sure it was spawned by black history month.

      there's an article up on msn.com right saying that bush said the displaying of nooses was shameful….i didn't realize there was a problem with nooses showing all across the country. never saw any but i guess they must be everywhere.

      either that or bush is just stirring up more shit and helping black people remember to hate white people (because if black people all hate white people, larger numbers will stay in the ghettos and stay as drug dealers instead of legit businessmen).

      i mean think about it…how much anti-white sentiment is built up in the black community by white media?

      who gives a shit about the jena 6? the jena 6 isn't the problem the fact that jesusland is nothing but a bunch of god-fearing racist crackers. jena 6 is a symptom. the problem is christianity (religion in general but good luck finding muslims..or even jews for that matter in nebraska) and white people.

      you know the funniest thing you can do? call some white trash racist cracker a nigger. i can almost certainly guarantee you the reaction will either be laughing/arrogance or confusion due to the "i'm not black" wiring with the word for them. pretty funny to watch someone take such a long time to realize they should be offended. of course by the time they are offended, you should already have a plan to seriously hurt them…because if not, they'll probably hurt you first (those who are closer to animals react more like animals first so expect violence).

      it's necessary in so far as that some history books still don't accurately cover black peoples' impact on history and their accomplishments beyond george washington carver and MLK.

      not to mention most of jesusland is racist crackers…those same key states where abortion and gay marriage are hot-button issues beacuse they have so much of both that it's a bigger problem than in san francisco or los angeles or new york city.

      nothing but a bunch of crackers who exist in pure defiance of darwin.

      i would have hoped people didn't like him because he's a racist that shouldn't be anywhere near commander in chief because he's got one too many screws loose and could easily snap one day and just decide to nuke someone (but then again, hillary and obama have both said they wouldn't take using a nuke off the table with iran).

      Gang members are just like everyone else. Each is different. The first high school I taught at was in South Central L.A. and I had gang members in my classes who were perfect angels and some who were complete assholes.

      And hey Rock It With I- the high school I coach at now is having their Black History Assembly next Friday. I'll think of you while I'm watching it! !lol

      OK so the assembly was today. I don't teach at the high school, I just coach there, so I didn't get there until about 1/2 way through. It didn't seem to me as much of a Black History assembly as a Black Present assembly. I may have missed the history part, but when I got there they were having a freestyle rap contest, then moved into a break dancing exhibition, then a medley of music and dance routines from the Supremes to the Temptations to Michael Jackson. Entertaining, but not a lot of history there.

      sounds more like "this is what black people listen to and do" in a very stereotypical way.

      but then again, the whole point of black history month seems to be to isolate black people and treat them as though they're disabled somehow.

      Yes, that's what it felt like. My school is about 75% black though and a magnet school, so I thought it might be better. I guess leadership just wanted to placate the student body by giving them something they could relate to.

      My city is one of the most predomidantly white cities in UK. Something like 96.8% of people are white.

      Around here it's not if you're black, white, red or yellow. It's what language you speak.

      And the english-speaking are the minority.
