Does anyone here like the Matches? I do. A LOT. Decomposer is my favorite album, next to the Strokes' Is This It.
That said, A Band In Hope is no Decomposer; Decomposer was dark and brilliant. Their first release, E. Von Dahl Killed the Locals is cheery-gloomy pop-punk. The difference is slap-in-the-face noticeable, but it's also very good.

So A Band In Hope (get it lol?)? It's like mashing up E. Von Dahl and Decomposer. I really like it. The Matches have become one of my favorite bands in the past year and so.

Listen to their albums if you get the chance.

I heard it was overproduced, and considering I hate overproduction more than anything in music I'm a bit hesitant.

But it does sound good from what I've heard.
