Just saw this from his Twitter. There's no way in hell the video is going to load tonight, but what do you guys think of this video? (It's not really LMB, but until there's a separate Scott section, I guess this goes here?)
I will say one thing: Scott's beard is officially epic.

The WindMemberHe didn't perform very well.
Side note: Guitar on the off beat doesn't mean ska/reggae.

MemberHe performed pretty well, I thought. He seemed very nervous, but he did okay. I love Hands Out, so I was pleased that he performed that one. New song is good too. Wish he had performed Welcome to New York, but I guess that's too much of a full-band song? I hate to say it, but it almost feels like Reel Big Fish is holding him back from great things at this point. He can't exactly leave, though.

The WindMemberIf there's anyone but Barrett who can't leave the band, it's him.
Their live performances would lose so much energy without him. I'd say they probably shouldn't continue as Reel Big Fish without him.And yeah, he performed well, I chalk it up to his partner bailing on him.

[/quote1280540237]Ya think? Welcome to NY is an amazing song and it's produced really well. Scott should produce the next RBF album.
RBF is Scotts cash cow, would you quit RBF if you were in it right now? No. I just don't think they care enough anymore to try hard. Scott better record his new album soon, I need some good music it's been awhile since I've heard anything worth while… If ya know what I mean.

[/quote1280543295]But there's the problem. Scott can't record the new album because he's always on the road with Reel Big Fish. >_> If Scott wants to further his own personal musical career, he'd have to cut himself off from Reel Big Fish. He can't do that, though. Not just because it pays the bills, but because it would kill the band. He's not exactly a replaceable guy.

Memberit's very unlikely we'll ever see scott or dan leave… Scott has said in interviews something along the lines of "Dan and I made a pact when we came in which was like 'we're in this 'till the end'"

The WindMemberThere's absolutely no reason for Dan to leave. He has it cushy, made in the shade.

Desensitized
MemberScott adds a lot of presence to the band, if he were gone it wouldn't be nearly the same. I mean, he was barely a presence on Monkeys at all, and that blew.

[/quote1280632801]Some of his vocals on Monkeys were top-notch though. Like The New Version of You and Slow Down? Great stuff. Scott needs to be featured more on trumpet. He may not be a better player than John technically, but I like his style and he doesn't get enough chance to show off. What did he get on the Best Of? That little part in You Don't Know, the solo in The Kids Don't Like It, and that's it. He didn't even get a solo in 241, from the sound of it.

SamuMemberI'm listening to "It's you", isn't it really really similar to something really really famous? I just can't figure out which song, but it's one of THOSE really famous ones. Or maybe it's just a common chord progression. Very powerful, anyway.
