      Right here

      Pretty much what I expected.

Before you get upset, you might want to take a look at what they rated the other RBF albums.

"Pick this one up if you are a really dedicated RBF fan and can stomach a sound that needs a long rest underground."

The problem is that the sound has been 'underground' (or dead, if you will) for so long that it's stale as hell and that's the way the ska kids like it.

If I have to hear one more ska band with sound over song, I'm out. LTJ proved it with their last album that songwriting is what more bands should be aiming for, instead of standard ska verse/horn line – punk chorus – same verse – punk chorus times 2 – outro.

I used to go to RBF and The Living End for that. All RBF needs is another soulless ska-punk album like the last one and I'll be done with them too.

Pretty much what I expected. The covers are fun, but that's about it.

I'm really hoping the next album suprises me.

That first review is the same one on iTunes….

My review: Happy that they released something, it's nice to get something new every year. Wasn't expecting gold, and didn't get it. Not bad by any means, but it's exactly what everyone is expecting. Nothin' But a Good Time, Won't Back Down, and Talk Dirty to Me recommended.

Have you heard the new living end album? It's actually really good, some songs have parts that sound the same, but they are good parts so I don't mind hearing slightly different versions of them.

I thought the new Living End album was shitty, generic and uninspired.

The last album was forgettable and this continues the trend.

Talking about bands who lost their spark, TLE is the biggest offender.

I'll stick with the first 3 albums and eps for INSPIRED TLE material.

i think the only thing living end i listened to is it's for your own good

they've been popular in oz since i was like 11 (so thats nearly 12 years). so i've pretty much grown out of them

like i use to be obsessed with prisoner of society and second solution when they came out.

      I finally got this.

Play by Play of worth mentionings:

Nothing But a Good Time is like how RBF used to cover songs with the basic ska format, and it takes liberty enough that it's still interesting. I give a thumbs up.

Tracks 2-4 follow that formula but just end up on the boring side. The songs didn't need to be covered. There really isn't much to say about them. It doesn't seem like a lot of thought went into them compared to other tracks.

Skatallica's version of Brown Eyed Girl is better.

The Long Run is really fucking good, but that's because it's a really fucking well written song. It's hard to do it wrong. Same with Won't Back Down. Thumbs up.

Keep A Cool Head is a clone. Lump it with tracks 2-4.

I like their original recording of Monkey Man better, but I like that a lot. It's a shame they just ripped off The Specials' cover.

Talk Dirty To Me is where the money is. This is the amazing creativity that this album should have been. Could have used some horns just for accentuation, but it's good that it was kept simple. Super thumbs up.

Overall, I wish they got more creative with their covers like they have in the past… Gigantic, Hungry Like The Wolf, Kiss Me Deadly (they actually made this a good song instead of a really shitty one), Story of my Life and Talkin' 'bout a Revolution is what I'm Talkin' 'bout!

But it's still good to listen to.

I have to agree with quite a bit of this, I have lots of fun when I pop the album in, but ninety percent of the songs that shine shine because they were good songs in the first place and the guys were faithful to the originals.

it's pretty clear, looking at the finished product, that this was a stop-gap they marketed a little too well, not meant to be taken seriously at all…. there aren't liner-notes and the whole thing is very small

I'll admit it. I actually really like Poison's Talk Dirty To Me in general. It's a guilty pleasure, I guess. But it's a really good song already.

I think that's why I like certain songs more than others, because the songs themselves were good. Unlike, let's say, Kiss Me Deadly, where I didn't really like the original.

That's probably why I like the Authority Song and Veronica Sawyer (which is pretty much a straight cover). Unfortunately, they don't stick out among the mediocrity like TDTM and The Long Run does.

Probably because it was such an obvious choice.

Like a ska band covering 'A Message To You Rudy'.
