SamuMemberWow wow wow! What a great show. Streelight manifesto was a burst of energetic sweetness. Reel Big Fish was just… awesome (as usual?).
Greatest moments:
Aaron mistaking the words of "You don't know" (he sang twice "well this may come as kind of a surprise" instead of "finally, that's the way it is"), he tried to pass it unnoticed but Scott made him laugh and he ended up messing the next line too. It was funnier than I'm able to tell it.
A girl had to leave before the end of the show so she begged the band to play Hate you, "it's my favourite song, please play it now, I gotta go" etc. They looked at each other, then said "She paid for the whole show, so why not?" and played the song (it wasn't on the setlist I picked after the show, so I guess I must thank that girl for letting me hear one song more
)After the show:
My drummer: Your jacket is very cool!
Aaron: …but you're wearing a leather jacket too!
my drummer: Yes, but yours has SKULLS on it! It's so cool!
Aaron: You know, we all have a skull (points to his head in a mysterious, whispering voice) inside…
(…)
Aaron: And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going back in… (presses his hat on his head and sneaks very furtively back in the house)I (introducing my trombone player to Dan): Dan, this is Daniele, he plays trombone too!
Dan: I knew it! I can smell it!John chatted with us for a while, he wanted to learn some words in Italian so we did our best to teach him the basics, than he started shaking our hands several times, making all the possible crossings, because "he had enter hand-shaking mode and he couldn't stop" (John is so funny, I really love him)
Scott (coming out of the house): Hi guys, so how you been doin'?
I: Great, we've just been at a great concert!
Scott: Really? Who was playing?
I: Oh, I don't know, I don't remember the name…
Scott (handing out, folded, the tshirt he was wearing on stage): Yeah, I don't know either, I was just here doing LAUNDRY…
Scott is such a great guy. A friend of us had a LMB cd to get signed, so he told us about the band and how they had to split when he left California and other things. We asked him if he has any solo projects now and he told us about the project he is currently involved with: it's quite a big thing, since he's in the process of writing a musical!
Yes, I can say without any doubt we had a great time. -

MemberI saw Streetlight when they came through SoCal and they were great. They said something about coming back through in April, but they weren't supposed to officially announce anything yet. I hope they do, they put on a great show!

AdminKeymasterYeah, I liked seeing them when I saw them at the Grove with RBF. I didn't know what to think when Starpool played at this last show that I went to.

MemberI liked them. Their CD was only $5, so I got it. It only has 5 songs, but it's pretty good.

MemberMilan show sounds like it was awesome – Brussels didn't fare too bad either…
SM were amazing and so fucking energetic, but they stuck mostly to SITB which kinda disappointed me seeing how I was really looking forward to seeing songs like On&On&On, Keasby Nights and 12341234 (which I may simply have missed being a song or two late…)
Then the fish played a great set as usual – making a few jokes about the last time they played this venue (when Scott was on his deathbed) and bringing up the quasi-riot we had then (noone could reach the stage this time…)
After the show a few of the people I was with met Aaron and Derek but I wasn't around the venue at that time, although a few of us did bump into John later:
Me: Wanna come smoke a J with us?
John: Well actually I'm supposed to meet some people here…
Me: We can roll one here if you like?
John: Nah, I'm ok.
Me: You sure? Well could you sign my t-shirt please?
John: Sure! So where're you guys from?
Me: Well I'm from England but we all live here, he's Polish, he's Irish…
John: And you all live here? How do you like Brussels.
Me: It's cool here.
Michael(the polish one): Brussels is awesome!
John: Cool – well here you go (hands t-shirt back)
Michael: Could you sign my weed baggy? (hands over partly full baggy)
John: Is this incriminating?
Michael: We're in Brussels!
John: Well ok then… (signs baggy)I can't remember the rest, but that's mostly it. 😛
