      Refused just came out with their first album in 17 years, and two of their new songs – Francafrique and War on the Palaces – feature Dan Regan, Johnny Christmas, and Matt Appleton. Interesting that Dan was brought in instead of Billy (the album was recorded at the end of last year and the beginning of this year) but it’s something cool from the RBF sphere regardless.

      I liked War On The Palaces better than Fancafrique, but the horns sound good no matter what. As for why they used Dan instead of Billy; I think Billy is from the east coast so maybe it’s easier to get Dan. Plus maybe they know him personally, or possibly because Dan has writer’s credit on some of the more interesting RBF songs.
