      Sit and watch a couple Scottish League games. Sure, the talent level isn't as high as the Premiership, but the games are intense as hell. I get bored watching English soccer because the players don't have any heart. The only league that might be more entertaining than the Scottish is the Turkish League, but good luck finding somewhere to watch those games. Plus as far as rivalries go you can't top the Old Firm.

      association football…assoc. football…soc-er was taken out of that and the term was popularized at uni's around the 1890s as a slang term for the game.
