MemberThe interview was recorded in 2011, so by ‘next year’ he means this year and that they may start recording after the upcoming tour of Europe.
I’m looking forward to it greatly due to loving RBF. The rest of this forum are too I’m sure, although they’re looking forward to it so they can rip it to shreads just like they have done with every album post-Live Album. Then they can mark remarks about how much of a horrible person Aaron Barrett is. Looking forward to it you miserable old dullards?

I would be SO happy to have to change my mind. However, currently, I don’t see any reasons why.

MAX!MemberI’m actually really excited for their new album, and to hear some more sax. This most recent time I saw them live was the best I’ve ever seen them play, so that got me pretty stoaked.

Hey, be fair now – some of us maintain that they have been on a downward spiral since Cheer Up.
I understand that the band has to eat but they’ve been doing nothing for a long time now but repackaging old material which is pretty bullshit. I (and I think most of us) will give the new material a fair chance but if they shit in my ears again, I’m not going to smile and talk about how good it sounds. There are healthy limits to being a fan.

El
MemberSince Cheer Up!? Do people really dislike We’re Not Happy that much? Dang.
I’m excited for a new album since they haven’t put out new material in 5 years. I hope it’s good, but their production values have been shit recently. I’m interested to see how Matt’s voice will sound on a studio album and how they’ll work harmonies into a three-piece horn section that, for the first time, is composed of three different instruments. I’ll be very disappointed if it’s all melody. -

Frag MagnetMemberI like the songs on We’re Not Happy (for the most part), but the production is absolutely terrible and I just can’t listen to the album.
