MemberI don't really know if he was guilty or not (by rights I shouldn't know anything about baseball, but hey), but I'm rather inclined to say yes he is.
If he is guilty of doping then he deserves the toughest penalty available by law for 2 reasons:
1. Doping is the pussy's way out in any sport and nobody who does it can rightly call themseslves an athlete.
2. Baseball players don't have to do SHIT. It's entertaining to watch – I'll grant that – but so are bowls, snooker or darts and nobody takes those seriously as sports do they? So here's the point: If all you gotta do is swing a bat, relying mostly on the momentum created by the pitcher, what the fuck do you need to take steroids for? Considering there's not much effort to be made on the pitch, he could at least make the effort off the pitch by working out like everyone else.
Pathetic.

so if they don't have to do shit then why are there professionals? there's a lot of skill required in reading the spin on a pitch to hit it with the right part of the bat when batting. there's a lot of practice and technique that goes into pitching…the same with bowling…look at shane warne….not everyone can bowl a spin like that.

MemberAll sports take talent, it's just that a lot of them are really boring to watch.

[/quote1195310165]You're just proving his point. He doesn't have to do anything athletic. He doesn't need steroids to read the spin on a ball.
