MemberHas anyone tried this stuff? If not, why not? Allow me to elaborate:
I ordered 1g of 15x salvia extract (15 times as potent as plain salvia leaf) to try with one of my flatmates. I made him take it first on the basis that we don't know what'll happen so it's probably best if I, being the only one to have tried hallucinogens, remain sober in case of a bad trip. I gave him a small amount, a bit under 1/8th of a gram (according to the website we checked, 1/8-1/4g of 5x is a strong trip – we were taking something 3 times as powerful) and he was fine – he went on about how he felt like he was being vacuum packed in a plastic bag and about how it felt like there was a window to his left (where a bookcase and a wall was) as well as how he felt certain that outside the bedroom door was a large open expanse of sky and field (the hallway). Otherwise he seemed perfectly conscious, albeit slower to get his words out than normal, and didn't speak of any actual visual hallucinations.
I was pretty disappointed, having read stories of people getting transported to other places and having weird and wonderful experiences, so when packing my bowl for the bong I put in as much as I physically could. I took a long, hard hit and felt slightly light headed but no more so I picked the still smouldering bong back up and made sure to finish off every last bit of salvia in it. After putting the bong back down I sat back and felt extremely disappointed that nothing was happening.
The next thing I know I'm a bodyless spirit in some strange, fantastic world full of bright colours. There were similar beings here that I conversed with shortly, although I can't remember any of what was said and I'm fairly sure it was a telepathic conversation that we had. I had no memory of who I was, only a vague sense of purpose in some gigantic, otherworldly formation and I absolutely had to get myself to the right place in this formation. This led me to get up and float (remember, I don't have a body right now) by myself down a flight of stairs (in reality 4) into a vaguely familiar place. This was my room, only I didn't recognise it as so. I was slowly creeping back into reality, but all I understood at that point was that it was indeed the bedroom of some physical earth-being, but not mine and it didn't feel like I was in the right part of the 'formation' and felt a sudden urge to return to the place I first came into existence (the room I took the hit in). After making my way back up (without registering most of the surroundings, mind) I slumped onto the sofa (by pure instict, I didn't know what it was – indeed I wasn't aware of it existing just yet) and lay there feeling my body generate itself out of thin air and slowly beginning to recognise sounds coming from an external source (people talking). I was now being slowly dragged back to consciousness although it was a step by step process. Everything I knew had to be remembered after all: my own existence, where I was, the fact that I have a family, the fact that I've been around for 20 years. Everything. My mind had literally become a blank slate and so this remembering process took at least 20 minutes, maybe more. I also experienced extreme heaviness during this final stage, I believe this is the 'vacuum packing' that my friend had described – it was a strange form of tactile hallucination that made me gulp for air at times (even though I was actually breathing normally anyway). It was hands down the greatest experience I've ever had from a drug and it was 100% legal. Absolutely mind blowing. A brilliant way to spend about 5 minutes, overall the entire group of effects lasting about 45 minutes before restoring absolute sobriety.
The only downside to it is that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to truly describe the majesty of my experience (although I think I've given it a good shot) and of course there's the fact that although I'm seeing and experiencing this strange new world, all my housemates were completely sober and not seeing what I was, but seeing me completely out of it behaving very oddly. My movement and composure was described as a retarded t-rex (arms pulled in short, staring around with a lack of comprehension). And apparently I was followed around and spoke to by my housemates the entire trip, I just wasn't registering their existence at all.
So yeah, it's nothing like any hallucinogen I've tried before: instead of transforming the world around you in strange ways, it takes that world away completely and just makes up an entirely new one for you to see.
I give salvia a resounding 10/10.If any of the UK-based people here are interested in trying it, [link=http://www.headshop.co.uk/acatalog/info_SSSALVIA15.html]here's[/link] the place I bought it from, they come highly recommended.

[/quote1263917384]This made me laugh. I can picture things going horribly wrong from this point on.
Also, how were the graphics of your hallucination? I'LL BET NOT AS GOOD AS AVATAR.

MemberThe 3D rendering was a lot better, but whoever threw the world design together must've been as high as I was.

SamuMemberA friend of mine once took salvia at a dinner – in a pizzeria (not a smart move, in my opinion).
This is what he told us: for the first few minutes he felt nothing. Then he turned his face towards the table, only to see that the space where once the table stood was now occupied by two vertically revolving vortices, one moving clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Those vortices were not made by some substance (air, water) moving in space: it was the space itself revolving around. He was just in the middle of them and distinctly remembers telling his friends to "jump on his side" (he was aware of their presence).I'd like to point out that the individual we are talking about has taken pretty much anything in the allucinogen world, yet salvia seems to have impressed him pretty hard.
And Adam, the image of you as a "retarded t-rex" will never leave my brain !lol

MemberI wish I could find more people that like to gas huff. It sadly seems to be becoming a rarity.

MemberJust tried some stuff called spice. It's supposed to be a legal substitute for pot. Cost about $20. It ends up being like cheap shit right down to the stems and the kind of high it gives you*. It's nice as far as being legal but it'd be better to just cut the bullshit and make pot legal.
And I laughed my ass off at the salvia story. I wish I had tried it while it was still legal here. I think it may still be legal in Cali but it's certainly not in Louisiana.
*kinda like pizza or sex…even when it's not good, it's still okay for the most part.

MemberI've seen spice around – in fact I have an Irish friend who loves that sort of legal high mix, but I tried some once and it just isn't the same. Give me the real stuff any day of the week.

MemberIt's a joke. The stuff is mediocre…though very tasty (think flavored cigarillos).
