MemberAw. I like their songs about being in a band, but I do agree that it's getting old. I just hope that doesn't lead to another over-saturation of songs about bad relationships that he joked about. I mean, I'm all for those types of songs too, but when there's an album full of them, you get Cheer Up!.

MemberGood interview – nice to know they're thinking about getting started on something new, even if we will have to wait until the end of the year for it.
And haha if I was Aaron I'da been a bit irked by him getting FFF wrong. -

MemberIf there's a chance this could be like Cheer Up, I would like Aaron to take that chance.
Less stuff about being in a band, and high school drinking songs, please. 😉

The WindMemberWell, people always do say less is more.
But I don't think that's what he meant.

MemberI meant less of both.
Lyrics like Brand New Hero, Cheer Up!, Cannibal, Slow Down, Bang! The Mouse Explodes, The Joke's On Me, When I Hit The Ground, Snoop Dog Baby, Trendy, Say "Ten", What Are Friends For, A Little Doubt Goes A Long Way, Somebody Loved Me, The Set Up, and She's Famous Now.
That's what I want. Those are some great lyrics, not to mention some of their best songs.

MemberYou forgot Brand New Song and I'm Her Man, two of my absolute favorites. I don't know how everyone doesn't love them. I think The Fire is pretty good, too. Very ambiguous.
And She's Famous Now is totally about being in a band.

The WindMemberTil I Hit The Ground is my favourite RBF song, lyric wise. I've never really though RBF has great lyrics, with some exceptions.
Some funny ones, though. -

MemberAaron's good at wordplay, that's what I like to see him do. But sometimes, he does good with something more straightforward in there ("But I do" from Snoop Dogg Baby is such a perfect climax to the song, and the way it winds down after that is perfect), the sarcasm is funny, but sometimes he goes a bit too far.
The best song I think he's ever written is Good Old Days, and I kind of see that as a capper to his more 'negative' style of lyrics.
But yeah, lyrics aren't really what RBF is about. Still, I like to see him try new things out.
She's Famous Now is not just about being in a band. It has another layer to it, which works great.
