MemberAnyone know of a good virus scan/firewall that I can download for free?
I realise I could google this but I'd rather get a recommended one.
Also: I can't post in the gen disc section… wtf.

Rock it With IMemberAvast is amazing! I amongst all my computer nerd friends use it and never have problems. Download here: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
It says its a 60 day free trial or something, but all you have to do is register and they email you a keycode to enable it for a year or more, and then just renew at the end. no money unless you want to donate.

MemberThanks, but I've gone with a combo of Avira, Super Anti Spyware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Spyware Blaster & CCleaner to keep my PC in shape.
I'm not really sure what the benefit of having all 3 spyware detectors is, but as long as my laptop continues to work, I won't complain.

Rock it With IMemberI have had the same laptop for over 5 years and its mainly due to using Avast and Housecall on a regular basis to constantly clean up this machine. 🙂

SamuMemberI use Avira with Zonealarm firewall and Spybot search & destroy.
I've got the same computer skills as an 80 year older, but luckily I've got some nerd friends.

MAX!MemberWhat's the best pay antivirus service? I think I'm going to get one because I don't want to pay to have my computer fixed again. I just had to have it fixed, but I got upgraded to Windows 7 too which is nice (It's way better)
