MemberHaving the disc of the original AND part 2 sitting merely inches from my elbow, I feel somehow disinclined to buy A REHASH OF THE SAME THING I OWN. Sheesh, how many times is this gonna happen to me?
In all fairness though, it's not quite the same time gap as with RBF, and it certainly appears to be more enthusiastic (although they could be money spinning, who knows?). I'm still not buying it though, unless my copy somehow breaks.
EDIT: HOLY SHIT!!! I JUST PUT THE DISC INTO MY LAPTOP TO MAKE SURE IT STILL WORKS AND ITUNES IS LETTING ME RIP ALL OF THE SOUNDTRACK!!!! The same thing happened with GTA (the original) – If you guys have any old school games that you haven't used in a while, try it out – you may end up creaming yourselves as much as I just did.

MemberNo, I will support the original team with a fully voiced remake with awesome 2D art.
It's an XBLA game for fuck's sake.
I'll also be getting that Perfect Dark remake this winter.

The WindMemberCool as that is, "episodic" games are getting old fast.
It really feels like a way to make us overpay. -

MemberI think the re-make and the episodes are a way for them to test the market so they know MI5 would sell before they make it….
I will be playing and buying both.
PERFECT DARK REMAKE!?!?!?!?!?!

[/quote1244080545]well, not exactly… the graphics are all new, the inter face is new and there's new sound and voices… all that's the same is the story and dialogue, really.

Memberhaven't been paying attention to E3 this year. only what penny arcade has said regarding the sensor thing and metroid. metroid's not a favorite of mine and i played the last installment so i'm guessing this is an off/down year.

MemberShadow Complex. Look up Shadow Complex.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii, The Grinder, and Red Steel 2 wowed me, too.
It was actually a pretty cool E3 this year. Last year was such crap.

[/quote1244103183]nmh2 was announced last year. do they have actual gameplay this time around instead of just a teaser?
edit: just checked. i like the darker settings better. the washed out look in the first game was kinda annoying and didn't really show much of what was going on. dual wield looks awesome.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you, no need to repay me now, you've already done enough!things you should know that are not immediately obvious:
1.) the easiest way to add games to the GUI is to place the corrisponding folders (including the .EXE and all the .OGGs) in the SCUMMVM file under program files, program files are easiest to locate if you go to "My Computer" and click on "Local Disc"
2.) SCUMMVM saves your game every 5 minutes to access the save/load menu press the F5 button.
I know you probably figured both of those out but they were worth clearing up because at first I had no clue.

MemberThe f5 thing is the same as saving in the original.
Not that I needed it in the end – once I started playing and made sure that I could save, I stayed glued to my computer for the remaining few hours it takes to play the entire game.
Longevity of games has come a long way. -

MemberRemake opinion: AWESOME, probably would have dug it more had I not played it before, nice to have a version I don't have to go through SCUMMVM for and the new version is really nice… my only issue is they try and make the voice speed go at the same rate as the original text speed… which often leaves weird gaps between sentences…
ToMI opinion: really like it… it's a bit easier than MI2 & MI3 buteach episode is more difficult & fun then the last… excited to see how ep 3 is.
