MemberThey're writing for a new release. That's all there is so far…
Bringing back an old song that didn't get recorded sounds interesting. It'll be 'Your Girlfriends Pretty' probably.

The WindMemberBut they'll end up turning it into a disco song.

Memberhopefully they don't continue with the disney route. they're too old and too kreepy to be disney pop stars. but i guess that's the music they like.

[/quote1240800297]QFT.I was just listening to the EP and it's still so fucking good. A perfect fusion of pop, ska, and rock. Why the fuck did they have to make their sound all 80s disco pop for?
I guess it started with Rump Shaker, though. Too much sugar, not enough kick.
… Fuck it, I'm going to listen to 'Desperate' again.

MemberYeah, half your band leaving is definitely going to do something to your sound.
Aw well. I'll just keep hoping for a good tune or two to pop out.

MemberTim was the main writer too, so obviously it's gonna change. Personally, I prefer Rump Shaker to the EP…
It's not like the new stuff is bad anyway, just different, sometimes too different for some, but I like it.

Member'All Around The World' pretty much turned me off of their new stuff. With quality of that level they should be writing songs for the major record labels instead of being a band.
Also, I tried to get my friend into them, but he heard the new stuff and just turned tail and ran. I had to lend him the EP, Origin Edition, and Rump Shaker to get him to change his mind on them.

MemberOk, so it seems the song is actually Moving Closer, quite possibly my favourite song they've ever done! Last song Tim did with them.

MemberMan, I had to google search for that stuff. If I knew you were a part of that board, I'd have just asked.
The hornline in Da Bomb sounds like the theme to Doug, by the way.
I realized it during a sleepless stupor.

The WindMemberHe's an acquired taste, but I like Chris Batstone on those songs.
I mean, no Tim Maurer of course. I like him a lot better than Vince.

The guitarist just needs to ditch the wah pedal and all will be good. I think bands are realizing that the 4th wave [or 3rd wave revival] is in it's early stages.
