MemberHey, just throwing this idea out there… what if, since No Doubt is touring this summer, if Reel Big Fish some how tours with them or even has a couple shows with them. Dare I even say, Gwen Stefani and the Paramore chick singing "She Has a Girlfriend Now"?
Is that a actual possibility or is it just a far-fetched thought?

MemberA good idea…but probably wouldn't happen…at least not on this new summer tour No Doubt is doing. I think No Doubt owes it to Reel Big Fish to do that.

The WindMemberNo Doubt hates RBF.
And RBF, well… they don't really like No Doubt.

MemberI'm not sure they don't like No Doubt, I just think they've long moved on from that scenario. I like No Doubt's music, but I think they definitely snubbed RBF as a band to tour along with…just my opinion though.

[/quote1236038370]That's not true. At all. No Doubt's Tom Dumont mentioned recently in an interview that they miss the old ska scene with bands like Reel Big Fish.

MemberConsidering the band wrote the new album without Gwen and said it was more ska in their old style, you'd figure they'd be touring with bands like RBF again.

[/quote1236125234]…As well as RBF's cover of Morrissey's We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful;
"We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful
And If They're No Doubt, That Makes It Even Worse And
We Can Destroy Them
You Bet Your Life We Will
Destroy Them
If We Can Hurt Them
Well, We May As Well …
Its Really Laughable
Ah, Ha, Ha …"so I take back my previous statement to Trev that RBf doesn't hate them. !lol

[/quote1236138992]I remember Joe posted an interview with Adrian who said while Gwen was away they basically made the album themselves and it was closer to their old style. So if this one turns out as shitty as the last album, I'm blaming her.
Also, I'm pretty sure the No Doubt/RBF hate thing is an in joke.

[/quote]Now they are talking about finishing the album after the tour because they want to get inspiration from playing shows again. I hope they still leave her out of the music part of writing no matter when they work on it.
Also, this video could be possibly about Aaron. It's probably not but I bet he wishes it was, or maybe not. Pay attention to the times 1:00-1:45 and 2:00-2:20. Haha.

jrock241MemberThe videos are about specific No doubt songs. In a previous video they talked about the song "Happy Now" and how mean the song is, which is about Tony Kanal. This video is about "Spider Webs" and how mean it is also
Tony Kanal – That's one of the few songs on Tragic Kingdom that's not about me, so I want to make that clear.
Interviewer – Are you sure?
Tony – No, I [i]know[/i]. I remember 'cause Gwens was like there's this guy, who you're not going to say who it is, but was calling all the time.
Gwen – I always had a boyfriend so I never had to deal with guys that were trying to go out with me, ever, in my whole life. So there was this little time and this one guy who used to call me like in the middle of the night and like try to sing me poetry on the phone, or like, play like, "listen to this song I wrote" and play acoustic guitar for like 15 minutes. I just didn't know how to get off the phoneand it was just like… [sigh]. It was like one of those, the regret of this guy having my number was the biggest regret of my life.2:00-2:20
Gwen – Poor guy, if he knew that song was about him he'd [interupted]
Interviewer – He doesn't know it's about him?
Gwen and Tony – No, nobody knows
Gwen – Nobody knows who that song is about, you do.
Tony – [agrees with a head nod]
Gwen – I think you're like the only person
Tony – Yeah you shouldn't say, especially
Gwen – I'm never ever gonna say. I mean, it's such a mean song
Tony – Not as mean as Happy Now
Everyone laughing
Gwen – That's trueTony and Adrian are just simply talking about the song structure and how cool and fun the song is, which makes it funny also because Gwen is making it seem like a stalker song.
The video doesn't mention Skatanic, JD was just being funny, which it was. -
