MemberThe production doesn't hurt it, it's a hard charging rocker, the lyrics provide the final word on Aaron's "band" lyrics, and the song has this feeling of closure about it.
RBF have always known how to end an album, and this should have been it.
Unfortunately, 'Your Guts' is placed after this song, and really shouldn't be. This song is the perfect closer.
And again I have to ask…
WHY DON'T THEY PLAY THIS LIVE?

The WindMemberI disagree. I find Say Goodbye and Last Show to be the generic ska punk songs of the album.

Surly
MemberI remember reading somewhere Aaron doesn't play it live because of it's depressing or something and no one wants to see it live.

The WindMemberHim saying he doesn't want to play a song live because it's depressing doesn't make sense.

MemberSay Goodbye and Last Show aren't ska OR punk.
Last Show has a disco slant, and Say Goodbye is power pop.
TBQH, I've grown apart from the first half of the album that I think falls to the side of generic and think the second half is far better.
Aaron plays Beer live, does Say Goodbye have to top charts to be live material?

MemberHalf the songs are interesting, and the other half are forgettable.
Drinkin is probably the most bland song Aaron wrote to that point.
