MemberI abstained from voting for president. The number one reason is that I couldn't bring myself to vote for either major candidate. But I don't really feel bad about it because by the time the polls close in CA, the race will probably be over anyway. Plus, CA isn't really a "swing state". I didn't see either candidate making any campaign stops here in the last couple months. (Maybe fundraising, but not seriously campaigning). I just voted for the state and local propositions and measures.

MemberCA is one of the most important states, with the most electoral votes.
However, it never really changes anything, because it historically goes to the Dems anyway.

MemberYes, CA has the most electoral votes, but most of the time, by the time our polls close, the election is over. To prove my point, polls here closed 7 minutes ago and they already announced Obama as the next president of the US.

jrock241MemberYeah, ABC News said something like;
"We aren't going to declare a winner until all the polls have closed"
*waits three seconds until the clock hit the exact time*
"Ok, we are announcing the winner".
They must know how to count REALLY fast.

MemberNo shit from me. Everyone has their own opinion and their own reason for supporting that opinion. I just didn't feel comfortable voting for either candidate.
