AdminKeymasterAnyone else in the UK feel it? Shook my whole house around. Even shook my housemate outta bed! It was only a 5.4 but thats the biggest quake we're likely to see for a while. Any quake at all is rare.
It was awesome. I'm still slightly excited.

Memberprobably someone testing nukes underground somewhere.
the annoying thing is that you've been in more earthquakes than i have and i'm out in the shaky west.
glad to hear you're okay…you check everything to make sure nothing got damaged?

AdminKeymasterNothing seems damaged but I'll check in the morning. Checking the news, doesn't seem to be much damage anywhere apart from a collapsed chimney that injured an old man. Other than that everything is fine i think.

[/quote1204092259]Don't worry, we're due for another good sized one soon. Actually, there have been a few recently, but CA is so big, you don't feel them all.

MemberThat was a really crazy. I thought there was a huge car crash on the road outside or something.
I don't think anything's damaged. Quite exciting really, never been in an earthquake…

AdminKeymasterYeah, I'm surprised we've hadn't had one locally around here. I've had my fair share of quakes, and I'll never get used to them.
I hope you guys are ok.

MemberIt seems everyone I talk to was asleep through it. I was somehow lying awake when it happened but some didn't even knew it happened at all…

AdminKeymasterHow close were you ( and Dave) to the epicenter?

AdminKeymasterI was about 40 miles away I think. I think Surly lives down south so he'd have been about 200.

MemberI live in Norwich. Which is about 120 miles from where it started. I didn't feel that much shaking I just remember it being so loud…

AdminKeymasterI was up at 1AM working on some stuff and just wondered WTF is happening… then saw my Kitten wake up look around and fall back asleep. I knew what it was just thought it was 'rather random'. 😛
