So has anyone tried making a playlist/mix CD with the ES tracklist with the updated versions? I tried it out, (after forgetting about doing it) and it works extremely well.
The (obvious) tracklist:
1. I'm Cool (White Trash Version) – GREAT opener
2. Join The Club (TTRO Version) – Great song no matter how you slice it
3. Call You (Monkeys Version) – The slower pace of this version makes for a great track 3
4. Hate You (Monkeys Version) – Nothing gets you more pumped up.
5. I'll Never Be (TTRO Version) – Works surprisingly well at track 5.
6. Boyfriend (ES Version) – Doesn't feel out of place at all.
7. 241 or Instrumental Duress Mix (or Fo' Head) – Any of the 3 works
8. Trendy (TTRO Version) – Natch.
9. Skatanic (TTRO Version) – No problem.
10. Why Do All Girls Think They're Fat? (Monkeys Version) – Ok.
11. Say 'Ten' (TTRO Version) – Still working.
12. I Want Your Girlfriend To Be My Girlfriend Too (White Trash Version) – "Side Two" starts off strong (This version is the best one)
13. Jig (Demo Version) – The only option for this spot.
14. Go Away (ES Version) – Surprisingly great transition, the way the original version should've worked.
15. Beer (TTRO Version) – Dur.
16. Snoop Dog, Baby (TTRO Version) – Works much better AFTER Beer as opposed to on TTRO.
17. Big Star (White Trash Version) – Nice slow burner near the end.
18. All I Want Is More (TTRO Version) – Of course.
19. Spin The Globe (ES Version) – Even if there's no version, you can't leave it out.
20. I'm Her Man (Monkeys Version) – Yep.
21. Super Hero #5 (ES Version) – Great song, so I put it in, even if there's no other version.
22. Til I Hit The Ground (Monkeys Version) – Just cuz. Great last song, too.
Pretty good, I'd say.
