i never really liked the rbf version of unity. normally i love their covers but idk about that one. its ok i guess i just like the operation ivy version so much better.

well, it shouldn't be too hard to win when the rest of the songs have been on other albums 😛

yeah i totaly agree that unity is deffently not their best. i mean i LOVE the op ivy version, like i know the entire thing by heart. but i would have to say im cool is the best.

god, i really hated that song on the live dvd… that zebrahead guy did even worse than aaron, and i didn't think that was possible.

on a somewhat related note, does anyone else like aaron's vocals on "lyin' ass bitch" better than the vocalist for fishbones? i think aaron does a much better job.

Everyone sucks at Unity. It's one of Op Ivy's lesser songs yet it gets the most play. I'd rather listen to 'Sound System', 'Vulnerability', ' Yellin' In My Ear', 'Bad Town', 'Bankshot', or 'Officer' over it.

Very similar to 'SR'. It's not a particularly well written song and if it was on the album between 'Beer' and SHAGFN it would be as hated as 'Snoop Dog, Baby' (one of their best songs)

Seriously, picture that song at any other point on the album and you'd notice the song isn't that strong.

my personal favorite operation ivy songs are vulnerability, room with out a window, and bad town. i like unity a lot too though. i don't really think its one of their lesser songs. the rbf version is just annoying.

I like 'Take Warning' better for that kind of song. 'Unity' was always meh to me.

all the songs on Keep Your Receipt are pretty good but i dont think that any of them are really AMAZING, at least by Reel Big Fish standards.

Also I prefer Reel Big Fish's version of Unity to Operation Ivy's version. I cant stand the original version of that song.

I like the RBF live version better than the original… which I like better than the recorded version……

but the RBF and op ivy version are really different beasts…. I like what RBF did whit the song more though…. the rap just blends so nicely with the ska bits and it clicks… when aaron isn't rapping

I know this post is old but…. RBF aren't the ones that rearranged that song and added horns. OpIvy did that but never released it [to my knowledge] but a live version can be found online somewhere, I think.
